DUST
Cutting paving slabs, kerbstones, or other concrete or stone products generates a significant amount of dust. This dust contains extremely fine particles known as Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS). Exposure to RCS dust can lead to serious health problems, some of which can be fatal. To prevent this, follow these precautions:
- Employ wet methods: Use portable pressurized bottle systems on cut off saws to suppress dust production.
- Wear breathing masks: Equip yourself with appropriate breathing masks to filter out RCS particles from the air you breathe.
